NYC`s Every Child and Family Is Known Initiative connects students experiencing temporary housing instability with dedicated adults in their schools who help ensure they receive the support and resources they need. Brad Gunton, Chief Technology Officer at @newvisionsforpublicschools, leads the development of the technology systems that support the initiative. In an op-ed for @the_74, Gunton argues that giving advocates access to information across agencies and enabling them to maintain long-term records of student support helps them better coordinate services and provide more effective assistance to families.
