As New Yorkers prepare to head to the polls tomorrow, we encourage voters to be informed about the reality of family homelessness in our city. The next mayor will inherit a homelessness crisis in which the majority of individuals (69%) in NYC DHS shelters are families with children.

Most of these children are in a crucial stage of development and their futures will be shaped by the city’s next mayor.
